40 degrees! I mean... 20 icons!

Jun 21, 2007 19:58

Right now, it's 35 degrees here, people. And they say it's going to be 40 in a few days! And only last week, it was raining. We saw first rain in May this year, normally it would rain all fall and winter here but this year... *shakes head* One day the sun scorches your skin, and the next, it rains. (A couple weeks ago, it even rained mud here... ( Read more... )

A rain of mud? That does sound vaguely apocalyptic.

I love your icon style, particularly 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 12 and 13 here, and the humor you incorporate! And I thought your "Breathe" icon should have won at sparrabeth_ic. (I never like the first place winners in these icontests as much as the ones that place below them, for some reason.) Might be snagging some later!

When I saw your reply and since the part of my post was about weather, I was reminded a post by you about a rainstorm some time ago and my reply to it. It was before May, I think. So it did rain here before then. Just not enough to be remembered, I guess :(

Thank you for the feedback! It really helps to know what works and which ones stand out in a batch. I certainly lose the sense of objectivity once I finish an icon (or a vid - anything that I create).

And thanks again for the kind words about the “breathe” icon. It was the first icontest I’ve ever participated and it was a last minute inspiration. I was actually (very pleasantly) surprised that my entry found itself a place among the winners :)

FGT ICONS YAY *claps* it was me who asked you! i'm excited!

Anyway, numbers 2, 12, and 20 are fantastic, so I'm swiping those (with credit, of course) and the Swann icon made me laugh - he's such an adorable old man.

Fantastic job, as always.

Oh yes, it was you! Welcome back :) A FGT icon batch is seriously on the way this time. And if I could only stop the urge to try different coloring technics with each icon, maybe I could work faster. But it should be ready in a couple days, I hope.

And thank you, I’m glad you liked the icons :) (Esp. #20. I was thinking of putting a warning there such as: “Object of nausea! Do not stare for a long time!” ^^ Because really, with all the blurring going on in that icon, it surely makes me feel slightly nauseated.)

And yes, 35 degrees and counting. I am so very tempted to move to Siberia. *daydreams* Ooh, Yakutia, in particular. Where I could live happily ever after among shamans while enjoying the very cold weather… On a second thought, though, being used to Mediterreanean climate, I’d probably drop dead in an instant because of the said cold weather the minute I set foot there… hmm.

Heh, sorry about randomness of this post. Once again, thank you for your comments!

Ditto to what you said about Feng. It’s highly unlikely that I’ll make Feng icons with excitement like I made these ones before AWE. And the text on #6 is a quote from Jurassic Park, actually. I started to make that icon and Dennis’ voice didn’t stop echoing in my head. “Ah ah ah, you didn’t say the magic word. Ah ah ah…” ^^

Thank you so much for the feedback! :)
