- I can't really tell, but I might have hacked off a tiny piece of my thumb today at work. Just before leaving, I was in the back chopping up tomatoes with the veggie slicer, and I don't even know HOW it happened. I think I was trying to position a tomato into place before slicing it, and my thumb must have brushed up against the blade of the slicer because part of my thumbnail was missing. (Thank god I found it.) I can't tell if the weird feeling on my thumbtip is from the lack of nail or, as Will seems to think, from having gotten a little bit of my thumb in the fray. I don't have the best of luck when it comes to my appendages lately.
- Picked up an application for Vicky's yesterday. I don't know guys, do I have what it takes to work retail? Furthermore, will they laugh at my wanting $9 an hour?
- Was watching the third Indiana Jones movie (my first time, don't hate! I loved it) with Will last night when Derek and Trav dropped by unexpectedly and essentially kidnapped us to go to the casino. (Next time, I'd prefer to have a proper shirt on when they come inside.) We drove there in Derek's red Mustang convertible (which used to belong to Trav, RIP his ownership) with the top down and blasted amazing 90s music. It was so much fun, even if I lost $20 at the casino. When we were coming back into town, we were having too much fun dancing to Cher's "Believe" inside the car (now with the top up but windows down), which prompted a hesitant police SUV to pull up next to us at a stop light and ask if we needed anything (he thought Derek was waving him down). "Sorry, we were just dancing to Cher..." The cop's response? A knowing nod. It was brilliant.
- This said, I am still in a cold war with Derek for not inviting me out for margaritas last Monday night. (>_>) Bastard.
- I've been reading the Scott Pilgrim comics, and I'm halfway through with volume 3 right now. Makes me wanna rewatch the movie. I'm still loving that the Saito twins were in it.
