time for a nonbiri weekend
It's done nothing but rain all week, and now it's finally sunny! :D :D :D Looks like we have the sun the whole day (^___________^) I managed to go out to the drugstore to find some allergy medicine, but the ladies working told me it might make me sleepy. D: I bought a pack of the two-a-day anyway. Guess I'm gonna have to take up my mom's offer to send me another care package and ask for some Claritin, or at least something with loratadine in it, because that's what I've been taking.
I got back my first piece of graded homework in English Translation yesterday - A-!?!?!?!?!?! It was a small worksheet with 4-5 sentences all using the word "application" with its different meanings. Translating from English into Japanese is pretty difficult but I have fun! I looked around to sneak glances at the grades of those around me (competitive nature, slightly) and saw B's all around. Either the teacher is going easier on me because I'm foreign - or maybe it's because my knowledge of the English contexts gave me an advantage. I'm going to go with the latter. (^________^) This A- was just the thing I needed to get through class though, and I was happy I went. Gonna keep doing my best!
It's been RIDICULOUSLY humid here and apparently it's just going to get worse. I straightened my hair one night before bed and woke up looking like I'd already styled it with light curl. (@_@) Everyday I've been coming home from class and my natural curl peeks out from the sides of my head - I'm considering investing in one of those tiny little travel flat-irons that I made fun of before coming here. I thought there'd never be any reason for me to need one, but I didn't even think about touch-ups on the go.
So, today's going to be a day of laundry, dramas, and the black gingham dress I bought the other week during Barbie Date with Akiha. I'd also like to accomplish some nail art this weekend because my current one has chipped too much. =( I don't wanna do a damn thing this weekend, so if anyone invites me to hang out they're SOL.
OH YEAH.
Sometime this past weekend or earlier this week I realized my laptop's battery life has suddenly decreased. (=_=); Given that I've had this laptop for over a year it shouldn't be surprising, but my last Dell's battery was fine all five years I had it so it took me by surprise. I'm looking into this one as a replacement (mine is a Dell Inspiron 1440) but it's so freaking expensive. Anyone know of a trusted company I can get it cheaper from? I'm really warey of purchasing computer parts from unestablished stores, especially when it's this much.
