kashige & rui
Alright, this is a little rant I've been wanting to write for a while. Now that Taka-chan and O-Hana are officially retired (>sob sob<), I have something to say about the new top stars of Soragumi. Now of course, it's only natural that my feelings are going to be extremely biased because Taka and Hana are my number-one golded combination, and completely irreplaceable in my heart. That being said, here's what I think about Takashiro Kei and Shijou Rui.
Kashige... I guess I "nothing" Kashige. Well that's not true, I sort of feel like "grr, I automatically can't like you because you replaced my beloved Takako". But to be honest I know almost nothing about Kashige. All I have is one track of her singing "Shiroki Bara no Hito" from BeruBara, and I might have seen a video clip of her in something but I can't remember what. But honestly, Kashige would have to be really freaking amazing for me to accept her as the new Soragumi top. ^^;; And I know I'm not the only one who thinks that it's really weird for Kashige to spend fourteen years - her entire career - in Yukigumi, and then become top of Soragumi. >grumble grumble grumble< Okay, on to the musumeyaku.
Rui. I don't like her at all. Unlike Kashige, I have seen Rui in a couple things, and find her totally unimpressive. Unimpressive voice, unimpressive acting, unimpressive looks, unimpressive everything. And she used to be an otokoyaku... I suppose making a switch like that should be admirable, but to me it's like "she can't be a true musumeyaku if she wasn't always trained to be one". Even without that fact (I didn't know it at first), I still wouldn't like her. Grr, Rui, you could never replace my diva~~!
There, that's my completely biased opinion. Of course, it's not like I would stop seeing Soragumi shows or anything... there are still too many people in Soragumi that I like. But it makes me sad that I dislike both of the new tops. T___T If only Tani could be the new top otokoyaku... but Kashige debuted three years ahead of her, so that's too much to ask for, I guess. >pouts< And I don't know enough about other musumeyaku to have someone else I would want to take O-Hana's place. (And like I've said, really, no one can replace Taka and Hana to me... ever... T___T;)
