Fantasy Casts
Alright, three people asked for my Princess Bride casting, so here goes.
What you have to understand is, 75% of my fantasy casts are based on the supposition that it's Soragumi circa 2006 - 2008, when Eriko & Alice-chan were a regular combi.
Hence.
Westley: Nanaho Hikaru
Buttercup: Hanakage Arisu
Prince Humperdinck: Sagiri Seina
Count Rugen: Harukaze Misato
Inigo Montoya: Toki Irisu
Fezzik: Yuumi Hiro
Vizzini / The Clergyman: Kazari Jin
Miracle Max: Kotobuki Tsukasa
Valerie: Mikaze Maira
King Lotharon: Misato Maya
Queen Bella: Suzuna Saya
I thought I'd also sneak Dai-chan or Kai-chan in there as Yellin, the captain of the guard, and Ten-chan as The Albino. :3
Also, since this story is severely lacking in musumeyaku parts, we could incorporate the bit in the book where Humperdink courts Princess Noreena -- it'd be a one-scene comic relief thing, and I'm imagining it with Chiari-chan or Tamami-chan. For a more substantial musumayaku role, I'm sure we could work in a sort of "Buttercup's lady-in-waiting", preferably played by Eri-chan.
(If it isn't obvious, most of my fantasy casts tend to incorporate as many Understudy members as possible ^_^;;)
In the Needs Moar 88ths version, I'd have Mii-chan as Inigo (mmmm), Dai-chan as Fezzik (LOL) and Chii-chan as Rugen (ngh). Really, the image of Mii-chan as Rugen OR Inigo makes my toes curl with potential sexiness *____* Also, Kasshii and Rena would cameo as Buttercup's parents. :)
The idea of Tall, Dark & Handsome Eriko in that sexy little mustache vs. compact and all-attitude Chigi makes me grin. Admittedly, though, Micchan's performance in Trafalgar makes Becca's suggestion of Micchan!Humperdinck completely valid. I think in that case you'd have to totally re-invent the cast starting with Tomu!Westley, though. Feel free to do that, Becca ;D
And she may disagree, but I think Tomochin has to be Fezzik. BECAUSE SHE IS THE TALLEST. And Masako doing the hot & intense swordsman thing and then playing rhyming games with Fezzik = SO MUCH WANT.
Chiya-nee, Susshii-san and Aoi-san's roles should be self-evidently awesome ;D
On the subject of fantasy casts, I did one a while back with the musical The Secret Garden. Since it's a story that centers around children, I decided to just cast it with babies and beloved upperclassmen.
Mary Lennox: Momochi Ito
Colin Craven: Amaki Tonika
Martha: Oomi Ako
Dickon: Toki Irisu
Archibald Craven: Amou Tamaki
Dr. Neville Craven: Suzu Haruki
Lily Craven: Mikaze Maira
Rose: Hanatsuyu Sumika
Ben: Kazari Jin
Mrs. Medlock: Suzuna Saya, or I'd bring back Ayazono Yuchi :)
Obviously I picked exemplary singers (except for Masako and Tomoe *cough*) But I'm sure Tomoe would do well enough on "Lily's Eyes" to complement TamaTama in a way to make me die of happy. And TamaTama x Aoi's "How Could I Ever Know?" *melts imagining it*
And J-ko and Tonica would be the cutest evar.
