Last Play thoughts for now

The Second Life = show about a pianist done REALLY AWESOMELY.

Last Play = show about a pianist done REALLY BORINGLY.

Seriously, Masatsuka, you can't write a play that's so character-centric when the main character has NO DEPTH. And a million trillion curses on you for your unforgivably poor treatment of musumeyaku.

(Last Play was funny in some bits, I mean it's not complete drivel, but I walked out of it yelling NOTHING HAPPENED.)

Heat on Beat = would have been so much better if the chuuzume wasn't so all-over-the-place. The prologue was acceptable, rocker number STELLAR, chair dance SEXY but also artistically cool... And then the chuuzume just really messed with the flow. All-spangle ruffle sleeves --> quick rockette --> otokoyaku in leotards --> "El Viento" Asako circled by everyone in white? It made no sense. Then everything after that -- the Sinatra, the tangoing, even Asako dancing barefoot and alone for two minutes... It was all good, just could have used a better lead-in. :\

I felt somewhat better about Ai-chan, Shizuku and Urara being treated fairly after the revue. It was twisting the knife, but at least they shone in the second part of their last show.

...I could write more, but I think it'll take me a bit to get more coherent than Masaki ♥ Masaki ♥ Masaki ♥ Karan-chan ♥ Karan-chan ♥ Karan-chan ♥ Shimon ♥ Magee ♥ Yuuma-chan ♥ Ran-chan (so skinny ;_____;) Sonoka (SO FUNNY) etc.
