Berubara shinko
SEE. SEE. Babies proved that Gaiden Andre-hen is totally watchable WHEN DONE RIGHT.
The basic, essential ingredient missing from the performance I saw yesterday was the melodrama. Like it or not, it's not Berubara if it's not melodramatic and over-acted to some degree. And yet everyone in the honkouen just seemed so tired. :(
But babies, as we all know, only have one shot to do this per run, so they're like SUPER GUNG-HO MUST DO EVERYTHING AT TWO HUNDRED PERCENT.
And that means ham-acting in some cases X3 (especially Taiga Rin's lol), but that's what you need for Berubara. That's what you need for soldiers crying over Andre's eye. And that's DEFINITELY what you need for the revolution scene.
So yeah, babies win. ;) Amachaki, Daimon, Kazuma (;_____; ♥), O-Mayu-chan (this is the nickname I have chosen for Ootori Mayu to distinguish her from Chisuzu Mayu)...
Surprise people who caught my eye -- as there usually are -- Imacchi and TenMi. Actually TenMi had already been entertaining in the honkouen, and she just got MORE to do in the shinko... Imacchi was put-together enough as General Bouillet but then BLEW ME AWAY with her amazing fire as a revolting peasant. ;) I was happy, because I've felt guilty getting Imacchi tickets via Cate three times now and then not paying that much attention to the girl. >.>;;; But now, Imacchi♥
Mebuki Yukina and Hanazuki Yuma also need mentions, although they'd already been on my radar... Oh and 95ths! Kotoka Chino (so cute it hurt), Minami Maito (soldier with the most rascally mullet EVER), Yuzuka Rei (pub customer, soldier AND revolting peasant! Oh Reikon, I knew from the start I wouldn't be able to resist you).
Bah, I'm going to write a proper review of honkouen FIRST and then shinko really.
TONS AND TONS OF BABIES IN THE AUDIENCE. Most notably, Sora 95ths (definitely Mirei Jun, Rumi Jun, Nanao Maki, and Mamiya Ryouko at least) a row or two behind me & Cate in B-seki. MONCHI in the first row of 2nd floor S-seki. On the way out, we walked behind her and Moa-chan ♥ ♥ ♥ She did THE CUTEST little skip-scurry as they slipped around to the special backstage entrance ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
AND we all met Elise's friend ♥Asao Ren♥ who is SO TALL and cute and I was like "aaahhhh I'm a Soragumi fan actually er in Alice's club" and she was all "oh, Hanakage-san" ♥ and so sweet and did I mention TALL. XDD;;; ♥
Okay, wrapping this up. Also in B-seki close to me and Cate... Two Eriko staff ladies. ^^;;; I see them everywhere still! They said "hisashiburi" ♥ ♥
