Banzai! I'm back from a long weekend of Thanksgiving celebrations with the family. So now it's time to show my appreciation - to the makers of 'Zuka, to the 'siennes I love, and to all you lovely LJ friends of mine - by sharing a slew of clips that make me squee. :-D (Their order only makes sense in my head, so don't bother thinking too much about it. ^^;;)
Provocation ~ Heat Up, from Temptation (Cosmos 2003) - This is a fun one. It started out as just an excuse to show off Tani in a very feminine, very hot pink pantsuit showing off her very hot curves. Dancing with Gaichi. Then I thought, "oh, I could make this clip longer and show off
Tani in that orange dress dancing with Wao too..." (This required including the Latin-esque song which comes between those numbers, featuring Mizu and Wao and a bunch of other Soragumi girls I love, and I saw no reason to pass that up. ;-) And then I thought, "eh, why don't I just keep going and add in that last energetic group number while I'm at it..." And it turned into almost an 11-minute clip. ^^;;;
Golden Trio, from Season of Angels (Flower 2004) - This show is crack and love. Practically every second of it is funny, and the 'siennes ad-lib like crazy. Just like in this clip, where Yumiko and Tomu treat us to a brief section of Rose of Versailles - before Osa reminds them, "hey, hey, this isn't BeruBara, it's Tenshi no Kisetsu!" And we all laugh, and I wonder what is it with me and loving otokoyaku doing girly voices. (In this case it's Ranju Tomu doing her "Oscar voice", and might I add randomly that I would LOVE to see Yumiko play Andre someday... too bad she wasn't included in the rotation this year. T__T;;)
Man of La Mancha ~ It's All Right with Me ~ Caravan, from Angels in Harmony (Cosmos 2004) - I love this concert and everyone in it. Between me and
princesslucia, we could probably share the entire thing because it's all so good. ^^;; This is another instance where a clip of one song snowballed into three songs. XDD;; I mean, Juri-pyon singing "Man of La Mancha" with five baby otokoyaku as Spanish backup dancers... Then all my Soragumi babies singing "It's All Right with Me" in ridiculously cute English... And then Zunko scatting while wearing a black dress... *___* Oh yes. It's good. (The only downside is Juri's outfit at the beginning; it's a little much. D: Fortunately I have plenty of distraction, what with the babies throwing their hats and lifting each other and of course I start trying to figure out who's lifting who, etc. :-D)
Blood, Sweat, Tears and Life, from Takarazuka Glory! (Snow 2004) - This dance is just cool and shiny and I like it. I can't describe it very well, so I'll just say that I love Komu and Mizu and Gaichi and that that soloist - is it Ai Youko? - is awesome. :-D Oh and I love the cut sleeves on everyone's costumes, but I'm slightly irked that only the musumeyaku get to show off skin. :-P Typical 'Zuka.
In a Garden of Aliaferia Castle, from A Kiss to the Flames (Cosmos 2005) - This is the scene that I screencapped ever so thoroughly in
this post and never made a clip like I said I would. ^^;; Well, I'm making it now. Wao x Hana x Gaichi = love. Oh, and there's a little Rui as well, for all the screen time she gets. :-\
Hmm, three out of five clips are from Soragumi. What - me, biased? ^^;;; I'll try harder to share a more even spread... some other time. ;-P (Also, randomly, I realize that Gaichi is in three out of five of those clips. XDD;; Lucky her!)
Now if I could just write and post proper reviews for all those shows, eh? T__T;;
