Julie, 2:30 PM -- "Well, Alice-chan's out of the running for Yukigumi top musumeyaku."
(Less than?) Two hours later, Aihara Mika gets announced as top.
Mika-chaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnn ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I love Mika-chan. I actually probably love her more than Nacchan; she's just more my "type". So I'm not thinking about how young she is (I keep thinking she's an 89th and not 90th o_O) or what she'll be like with Mizu and just focusing on YAY MIKA-CHAN TOP.
But speaking of Mizu... "screwball comedy"?? HELL YES. Please let Russian Blue be the awesome comedy that "Je t'aime" wasn't (she says without having actually seen "Je t'aime" >.>).
And Mika-chan :D :D :D
But, uh, Chie and Nene and Hoshigumi doing Taiou Shijinki II?!?!?!
I have to admit, when Becca sent me the announcement one of my first thoughts was "I guess they're doing it again to see if they can create more of a moneymaker the second time". To see if they can make it more profitable this time. I won't say "to see if they can make it *better*", because I honestly I don't really see how they could make it better. They tried their damnedest to compact that drama into a two-hour show. They threw so much money at it and gave it such great costumes and sets and effects. I don't really see what else they could've done...
... Except done it with different actresses. Actresses like Miss Yuzuki "I Have My Own Gravitational Pull" Reon.
... Oh god. I don't think they can make Toyoko Yon Hogae. It'll have to be Kaname.
...Poor Toyoko. :(
Anyway. Last thing unrelated to announcements that I want to say now before I go up to Nagoya again.
Chigi. Chigi is 100% Oscar. I mean, she gave that role 100% of herself. She clearly threw her all into it with the full intention to show the world her own Oscar. And she is completely too pretty for her own good. <3
I don't know what it's going to be like with Kacha, but this role-switch is not like Valencia where they were trying to give two otokoyaku equal stage time in two different roles. No. This is entirely a ploy to showcase Kacha before she goes off to play Elisabeth. Because the one playing Bernard gets comparatively nothing to do.
I'm just hoping I don't cry too much this time around. Seeing Kacha and thinking about Kacha has made me get teary a lot lately.
