Overexposure or not, goddamn a new Elisabeth is such a juicy speculation topic to sink one's teeth into.
BUT RIGHT NOW I WILL TALK ABOUT SORAGUMI. >:3
Musical Romance: "Bara ni Furu Ame" (tentative title)
I guess I'll go with whoever already put up the title Rain Falling on Roses, because I think they would have used a different particle if it was Roses Falling Like Rain or something. But I seriously still can't decide if ロマン should be translated as "romance" or "novel"? Thoughts?
After serving as an intelligence officer during the First World War, a man goes into reserve and visits his hometown in southern Europe. One day he meets a girl when he fixes her car, which had overheated and stalled. The two quickly fall in love, but the girl has noble blood in her veins and has no reason to even acknowledge his existence. The man senses the fleetingness of a love between different classes and leaves her. Many years pass. Having achieved success, the man attends a party at which they are reunited. She has transformed into a beautiful rose, the belle of high society. However, the reunion causes a great ripple in both of their lives...
Meetings, partings, reunions and new journeys -- developing those stories into an original love romance composed of the trials and tribulations of a grown man, and the feelings of longing between a man and a woman.
...Written by Masatsuka-sensei. ^^;;;
I trust Masatsuka-sensei to do "war", I just don't know how well I can count on him to do "romance". T___T;; I guess he's gotten it right *sometimes*... And okay, I mean, the story sounds like it has some potential, and at this stage there's a whole world of speculation for the other cast members (plus hello, Tani fixing cars LOL)...
...But can I complain just a *tiny* bit at Tani and Ume-chan doing yet another "love story between classes"? They did it in A/L, they did it in Valencia... They didn't get to share Reimei or Singin' in the Rain -- THEY DID IT IN PARAPURI although at least this time they got a happy ending -- and for all I know they might be doing it in Berubara too. >.>;; Jeez, Hankyuu, get a new frickin' line. :P
ON THE OTHER HAND, UME-CHAN IS NOT ANNOUNCED FOR THIS SHOW.
Evidence that this is a bad sign:
* After the accident, she wasn't announced for AmeUta and we all know how that turned out.
* Mihoko wasn't announced for Gatsby AND WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT TURNED OUT.
Evidence that this is nothing to worry about:
I CAN'T THINK OF ANY SO PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU HAVE SOME.
HONESTLY, STOP IT HANKYUU OR I'LL START TAKING PEOPLE SERIOUSLY WHEN THEY JOKE ABOUT WISHING UME-CHAN WOULD GET STOLEN BACK TO HOSHIGUMI FOR CHIE.
NOT THAT SOMETHING LIKE THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED AS FAR AS I KNOW.
Except in the case of Tom and O-Hana, which we all know was special and rather a necessity.
*breathes, calms down*
I vote for Alice-chan being a rival high-society girl, or perhaps Ume-chan's little sister since that seems to be her specialty and she needs a sutekina oneesan to go with all of her oniisan-tachi. ;)
...Oh yeah, and the revue!
Romantic Revue: "Amour, Sore wa..."
I'm going to insist on translating this as "Amour, IT is..." Because we don't say "love, that is" in English. We say "it". *puts foot down*
A revue that expresses the joy and sorrow of living life, sustained by beautiful, elating melodies and depicting episodes of love. The 18th production of the Romantic Revue Series -- a series that always contains beautiful colors, sweet fragrances and poetic sentiment. Also, the 95th hatsubutaisei will debut in this performance.
Directed by Okada Keiji. I like what I see on his list of past works, and the phrase 愛にまつわるエピソード gives me hope of good story-dances. :)
PLUS 95THS :D :D :D :D :D I wonder what their dance will be like... X3
Alright Sora fans, come hang out in my journal for a while and give me some good 'what if's. ^____^
