Irimachi, 6/22 + TSP Teaser
Yesterday I saw THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL.
I considered waiting until all of you Summer Makes Sense-ers got here... but then I realized I couldn't wait. ^^;;; *selfish*
In short, IT WAS BRILLIANT AND YOU WILL ALL LOVE IT. If you don't, you are crazy.
Two reasons why I haven't written a review yet.
1) I haven't posted about "Red Hot Sea" yet. I am insisting to myself that I do that first.
2) "Pimpernel" review is going to be long, I already know, and my wrists have actually been kind of bad lately.
So I will write out my thoughts on paper, and slowly, slowly transfer them to text, and eventually you will hear all about it :D
In the meantime, have the iri report that I already taxed my wrists with writing on my phone yesterday.
Irimachi, 6/22
I cried again after iri today.
My angel was wearing a black dress patterned with lines of four-petaled flowers outlined in white, and out from the bottom hung two inches of black lace. Hair in a side ponytail held up by a black and white scrunchy. White backless heels. It wasn't raining yet but she had an umbrella, thank goodness.
It was just me and her again. I asked her how okeiko was going and she said everyone's still scurrying around getting ready. I mentioned the jumping out of a cake bit and she said they don't have the props for it yet so she hasn't rehearsed it. I asked if there was one scene or dance that's been the most fun, and she said at this point it's still too much practice to really be called "fun". They still haven't rehearsed the finale numbers like the duet dance with Tani. I commented on how Tani's hair is still blonde and that's not really my image of "Don Lockwood". Alice-chan said Tani might go a little darker before the performance starts but in general her hair will be lighter than the previous Dons. (Boo.)
At some point I said it must be really trying to rehearse six days a week, and she said yes but of course she can also rest when they're practicing scenes that she's not in. We ended with talking about the weather; the sun came out briefly but when she arrived it was overcast again.
She smiled so sweetly when she waved goodbye to me. And the tears came, because I realized I wanted to say how proud I am of her and I know she's working hard but I really really want this role to be everything she dreamed it would be.
Next time: tell how beautiful her Romantic Fairy is in the new Graph, which I also forgot to mention. Also, bring some kind of fruit suitable for an angel.
After iri: bought TSP toujitsuken. Then went back out and saw...
Tani: white shirt with vertical black stripes, gray slacks, and a thin red poncho with white polka dots. X3 No sunglasses or hat.
Ecchan: black dress cut high with black leggings underneath. She's so cool. *.*
Tomoe: white T-shirt under a loose black sweater, black cargo pants with extra zippers, necklace that looked like links of a bike chain only in black plastic. XD Hair in a tiny little ponytail. LOVE.
Kohmai: army green pants, white T-shirt under a black high-cut vest.
Eriko: jean jacket, dark brown slacks, glasses... and almost as many FC members as Tani had that day o_o
Tamatama: dark green T-shirt under open beige button-up, gray jeans. I like her hair color right now, it's kind of a mousy brown that you don't see on many 'siennes. (Ayumi-san also has dyed her hair a light brown; I'm used to seeing it blonde.)
Kyanon: I was literally the only one still waiting at the stage door at that point. I looked up and smiled at her and she smiled back at me <33333 and then kind of jogged in because she was probably barely in time for okeiko.
Out-of-order list of others I saw: Mayu-chan, Chiyako, Kuracchi, Aiko, 94ths going out to lunch (seriously, 12:30 is becoming like my favorite time of day), Yucchi-san, Ayumi-san, Ranno Hana, Ayashiro Rea, Ayu, Ten-chan, Asu. :)
