Sam feels like his head's been cracked open and his chest has been sliced clean through; like his intestines have been pulled out through his throat and his heart's been tossed onto the floor. He's not sure if the ground's shaking or if it's just him. His vision is blurred with tears and red with anger and his hands are shaking, his legs are wobbling with fear. He's dizzy and aching and he can't think straight.

"Dean," he croaks, voice filled with so much so much so much-- everything. "Dean"You okay, Sammy?" Dean's voice floats, crashes, smashes, stabs into Sam's head and he chokes on the breath he was trying to drag into his lungs. He chokes again, tears cracking hot tracks down his cheeks and jaw ( ... )

They get back to the hotel somehow, stumbling a bit, Sam seemingly glued to the passenger seat of the impala by the time they park. He's been to hell and back, he's been the vessel for fucking Lucifer, but that's not this, that's not all the memories he has of the horrible shit he's done and thought and god, Dean. What the hell has he done to Dean? Dean who can barely look him in the eyes; Dean who won't say it's okay; Dean who drags him out of the impala and into a hotel; Dean who pulls off his shoes and tucks him into bed and crawls in next to him and who tensely dares to snuggle up to Sam's side, expecting to be ignored because that's what Soulless Sam, that's what he did ( ... )

So anyway idk if I will actually be able to fill much of anything tonight as I am also trying to do actual things, but I FIND THIS FUNNY AND THEREFORE WANT TO TAKE A STAB AT IT. Would you mind if Sam tests out the correct brother-attack response on a variety of monsters or is it just vampires?

Gen good, slash better. It occurs to the boys that maybe Crowley's bluffing. They investigate that possibility, and it turns out he is, and in the process they stumble over the way to get Sam's soul back.

Turns out getting Sam's soul back doesn't involve bagging Alphas for Crowley. Instead, it's a matter of reminding Sam of all the things he loved best. Gen and/or slash (and multiple fills) welcome.
