My dad has a new hobby and that hobby is apparently turning his new sat-nav on when we're driving home and then taunting the woman's voice when we take the quicker routes SHE DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT. Oh Dad, I don't even.
You know what else in my life is exciting? Today I went to Natwest to set up my standing order for rent, and I was served by a guy I went to school with! We were in the same year and sat next to each other in General Studies and we got on well enough that seeing him at the enquiries desk was a matter of OH LOL HAY YOU rather than OH DEAR GOD NO, but it was very hard keeping a straight face - because this guy was a bit of a troublemaker at school and seeing him now, being all professional and with facial hair, was so surreal and hilarious to me I could not stop giggling. OH GOD THEY GROW UP SO FAST.

I think I am finally, finally mentally prepared to crack on with theoret's help_haiti fic fffff I should be ashamed of myself for it taking so long /o\ It's Tony Stark/Dick Grayson so I think maybe five of you all will actually read it (IF THAT) but screw fame and fortune, I am just excited to finally have the poor thing's beginning and end in sight.
Also, picked my art for c_im_bigbang last week. It is SO FREAKING COOL and I am really excited, but I PM'd my artist before I went away for the weekend and she still hasn't replied which is making me NERVOUS. I mean, it doesn't have to be collaborative so I can just crack on and write if need be, but it'd be reassuring to get a response.
SPEAKING OF THEO AND FANDOM AND STUFF, lately we been having conversations about the kind of ships we sometimes ship in which the pairing is not so much 'character x and y have a sexy dynamic' as it is 'character x is so perfect and wonderful that I must ship them with character y because x is clearly in love with y and X DESERVES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT DAMMIT!!!'
Anyone else have pairings like that? (Or are Theo and me just weirdos?)
(For me, it's Dick/Batman because GOOD LORD it is probably cruel to inflict Bats' crazy vengeance peen on people and nigh on impossible for the fucker to actually yknow have meaningful romantic relationships, but Dick is so very clearly in love with him and dammit Diiiiiick stop being so wonderful and then I wouldn't have to ship you with weirdos with pointy ear hats :< SHIPPING IS HARD, YOU GUYS.)
