weirdest day ever
MY DAD IS GOING TO THE QUEEN'S GARDEN PARTY TODAY 8D He is tres unexcited about it (although he is excited that they're going on the London Eye first. Dad loves him some London Eye) but my mum and I floating on a strange high of one part enthusiasm to two parts LOL.
Why is my dad going to the Garden Party? Because one of the guys at the home Dad manages volunteers for the National Trust and it turns out the NT randomly selects a few volunteers to go to said Garden Party every year. This year Tom lucked in and thus my grumpy, anti-monarchy, party-hating Dad lucked out.
So if you hear about some guy getting kicked out of the party for refusing to stand for the national anthem or vaguely insulting the Queen, you'll know who it is.
I just hope he remembers to bring me back some cake.
