I'M SORRY ABOUT THE CREEPY WINDOWSILL SNOWMAN, GUYS. Here are some pictures of my tromp through the park in the morning and my snow mouse a few hours ago, to make up for the nightmares.
TROMP!
The main road! Not as pretty as the park. Also it was already rather well trod and quite slushy, but considering this is usually the busiest part of the old town and it was gone eleven by the time this was taken, I'd say it is QUITE A VICTORY for the snow to still be so white.
OHHH THE PRETTY GATE. Pretty, locked gate, as the caretaker people hadn't got around to this side of the park yet, so I got to tromp through MOAR SNOW on my way to the open gate 8D
OHHH THE PRETTY PLAYGROUND. Deceptively quiet, here. Everyone was up the hill on the other side, sledding and whatnot.
Hunt for open gate = success. I somehow managed to miss all the snowmen being built at the sides. Oops.
SNOWY BANDSTAND. With an actual person in the frame, for a change!
Benches! Trees! There was a giant snowball fight going on just to the right of this. Idk how I kept totally excluding people from my photos. /o\ Down the path, there was a woman throwing snowballs for her jack russell, which was CUTE.
Further benches! Yet more trees! Also some very cold rosebushes poking out of the snow. Then I fell over in the snow! YAY!
There really was nobody around in this part of the park. I FELT LIKE I WAS IN NARNIA. At the end of this path is a reasonably clear (albeit tree-y) patch of grass (or in this case, snow), so I took it upon myself to make a snow angel. After which my hands were very cold, as I'd eschewed gloves in favour of being able to press the buttons on my camera, so I STOPPED TAKING PICTURES FOR A WHILE.
Here is my back garden, though. Not quite as scenic as the park. Not quite.
MOUSE!
It is, indeed, a mouse. Whilst it was half-finished, my brother mistook it for a bear.
OHHH.
PS.
WINDOWSILL SNOWMAN HAS FEASTED ON MUCH FLESH TONIGHT, IT WOULD SEEM.
