My mum and I have been having an ongoing email exchange about a pigeon that managed to FLY THROUGH THE GLASS of our living room window at home. (It was single not double-glazing, but nevertheless.)
Mum's latest contribution to the discourse: "it must have been flapping furiously, they can fly pretty fast to get away from raptors."
But Mum, I thought to myself, why would velociraptors chase pigeons?
YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO REMEMBER THAT RAPTORS ARE BIRDS OF PREY, NOT DINOSAURS.
