Dude, bah, tattoos are you. If you're going to get something permanent, get something that you don't mind having forever.
I'm still debating on what I want my ink to be. I'd have to make sure it wasn't easily seen -- this is what happens when I want to go to East Asia for my career. X(
I miss poetry. Do you have any good recommendations? I love Eliot, and partial to Dickinson (lol I know rite :() and anyone who is like concrete/free form. YOU ARE ENGLISH, HELP ME HERE.
Exactly :D Ten years from now I am probably going to be covered in bits of poetry/song lyrics. Although I'm also planning to get a dragonfly, once I have designed it to my satisfaction, which will most likely be my only actual picture on me.
Oh nooo, East Asia =/= fond of tattoos? That makes sense, now I think about it. Good thing I don't want to go to East Asia for my career, then :x
UMM. Ahaha I like that you think English = I Know Poetry. WELL OF THE TOP OF MY HEAD, I have some good ones in my memories (especially Margaret Atwood, Tony Hoagland and Richard Siken. They are A++) Umm. Have you ever read any Sappho? I don't own any, but I randomly picked a book up in the library and read it once and there was some pretty badass stuff. (Death must be an evil - and the gods agree; for why else would they live for ever?) I love Allen Ginsberg and William Blake, too.
OH and Simon Armitage is great. And Carol Ann Duffy! They are really well known contemporary British poets.
