Achievement of the day: got paid a tenner for doing literally nothing. Fuck yeah.
Failure of the day: accidentally threw part of the broom at my own hand, bruising my thumbnail. Alas, alas.

More or less my tenth fandom anniversary, woooo~! I was planning to celebrate by actually writing something, but I don’t think I’ll even have time for that until Tuesday or so.
I will say, though, that I don’t regret any of the time I’ve spent here! Through good times and bad, fandom has been a source of happiness. And frequently annoyance, too, but I would take that over boredom any day of the week. I’ve met incredible people and read incredible things and discovered some of my bestest best friends round these parts.
Fandom takes the solitary, passive process of media consumption and turns into a creative, productive, analytic community. THAT WILL NEVER STOP BEING COOL TO ME. 8D

So yesterday
theoret and I hung out in Oxford, which was made of win and yay! It seems that whenever I meet up with a fangirl, Caffe Nero and Wetherspoons are involved, but I think I am okay with that. (fyi I have amazing ‘spoons locating powers. Theo didn’t even know there WAS one in Oxford. Amazing.)
In Caffe Nero, we somehow ended up building incredible towers out of paper cups and coffee stirrers. I really wish I could have seen the face of whoever came to clear up and discovered the beautiful tower we left them. (And as ever, Theo accidentally gave me some of her milkshake without ever knowing why.)
Also, there was this adorable trio of busking students doing covers of Madonna and Blondie and Lady Gaga with a bongo, a mandolin and an electric-acoustic guitar. We kept passing by them throughout the day, so eventually we decided to sit down and watch a bit and OH GOSH THEY WERE SO CUTE. I was torn between the desire to ship them and the desire to mother them. They were harmonising and sharing the mic and pulling faces at each other *_* wonderful. Plus, if you requested a song they didn’t like they would do it COUNTRY STYLE.
You have not lived until you’ve heard Hallelujah bluegrass, with a few ‘yeehaw’s thrown in for good measure.
I managed to find this whole array of adorable pastry brushes in some creepy department store or the other (half of the lights were off! It was like the start of a horror film!), but I couldn’t afford any of them and my amazing powers of persuasion just were not amazing enough to make Theo buy one for me, so Jensen Ackles must remain pastry brushless :(
(FOR NOW.)
In conclusion: it was glorious funtimes 8D Also, Theo is a sassy duck.

In my break between throwing broom parts at myself and - well, now - I sat myself down and drew a bit. Art mojo… almost… functioning…
This was inspired by a) Arkady and Boris Strugatsky’s Roadside Picnic and b) Up-C Down-C Left-C Right-C ABC + Start.
