Jack coughed out a laugh. He had walked into that one. "In our way," he said vaguely. "He's a special person, but I don't think either of us is looking for anything serious."

And if Tony hinted at anything else, Jack would stick his fingers in his ears and run away.

Jack had been tied down since he was old enough to think about it, but no use pointing that out just now. "Not to a school friend, at least," he said. "What about you, are you seeing anyone?"

"I can't imagine pretending to be the eyes and ears in the light leaves much time for the social whirl, at least when you're filming," Jack said.

He could have flirted, but he wanted to say that phrase more. Which was quite possibly a sign he was getting old.
