The buzzer for the back door sounded. "I think the cavalry's arrived," Tony said, pulling himself to his feet. He headed for the back door.
Henry
Henry hung back as Tony got up and frowned at the door. "Are you sure getting them involved is a good idea?"
Tony
"Merlin's a wizard, like me," Tony said. "I can use the help. And Arthur's-" he shrugged. "They're kinda a package deal."
Constable Elson
Constable Jack Elson looked up from where he was lounged on the couch. "Your friend the wizard calls himself Merlin? And his buddy is Arthur?"
Tony
Tony considered trying to explain, got about as far as multi-dimensional high school and decided it wasn't worth the trouble. "That's the names their parents gave them," he said instead. He went to open the door while Elson muttered something about neo-hippie parents.
Dinah
"Hi!" Dinah beamed as the door opened. "We had a great flight!" Such an overstatement. "Where should we put our stuff?" She peered past him at -- wow, that guy looked like Seregil. And another cute guy. "You here to help with the thing?"
Jack
Jack's eyes were drawn to Henry; from what Tony had said about him, the vampire wasn't hard to pick out. His bearing straightened and, while he knew it meant nothing in this world, he adjusted the ring that marked him as part of Sebastien's court self-consciously.
"We're glad to be here," he said as he stepped out of Dinah's way. "Hello."
Leah
Leah was, in fact, still snickering at the idea of a wizard named Merlin and his 'friend' Arthur when she smiled at the newcomers, a grin that bared her teeth. "And hello to you all," she said.
Those who could see things that were... 'other' might notice the faint outline of the tall, antlered, naked, and, ahem, well-hung man that occupied the same space as Leah. If perhaps he did so rather translucently.
Merlin
Merlin came up behind them, offering Tony an apologetic and sheepish look. "Um. Hel--" Do pardon the stare. The Green Man really had not been what he expected to see in this Canada place. "--lo."
Arthur
"Yes, I think we've got the hello part covered," Arthur started, but paused mid-eyeroll. "...Merlin?"
