After the nice workout in her workshop, Claire took a shower and then flopped down on her bed with a book.

It was too quiet with Dinah gone. She hoped that everything was okay and that her roommate would be back soon.

Jon had been rather scarce since before they got back from cabins, and hadn't spent near enough time with his girlfriend. So he had decided to take a day away from his handwavey unknown project and go bother Claire.

It was a very good decision, and he figured it would be best to bring cake along with as an apology.

"Hey, stranger," Claire joked, looking up and putting her book aside. "I was starting to think you'd forgotten me."

He set the plate on the bed in front of her and grinned as he sat down. "Nope, just got a bit busy."

"You brought cake. All is forgiven," she said, leaning over to steal a kiss.

"Wow. So whenever I do something wrong I should bring cake?" He grinned again, not expecting that to have a positive answer. "Any word from Dinah and the others?"

"Not yet," she said. "I'm going with the theory that no news is good news. How was your insane workshop today?"

"Insane, but then one of the teachers is Deadpool." He was surprised the class hadn't gone nuts yet. "You?"

"We got to work out, so it wasn't that bad," she said.

Jon laughed. "He brought it up, Steve turned bright red and no one asked for details."

Claire laughed too and then reached over to grab a fork from her desk. "You gonna help me eat this cake?" she asked.
