[Personality]
First thing to note about Fran is his deadpan face and his unenthusiastic tone. It doesn't matter what's going on around him, war or peace, his face manages to maintain its bored look. Even though Fran looks bored, he has a sharp tongue that he is not afraid to use. If his body language wasn’t a sign, Fran is pretty apathetic. He shows little concern for dire situations, people or even whatever comes out of his mouth. Because of his indifference, Fran doesn’t really care what he says and so the youngest Varia member tends to be blunt. His bluntness usually gets him on the bad side of his comrades and master, because usually his comments are verbal attacks.
His main target is usually Belphegor, a fellow member of the assassination squad, Varia that he is a part of. He seems more antagonistic towards the Prince because he's making him wear a frog hat. Though, Belphegor acts menacingly in response to Fran's verbal attacks, Fran does not let up. Another reason that Fran tends to pick on Belphegor more is probably his aim to bring the prince down a peg or two. Belphegor has so much esteem for himself, that Fran can’t help but attack it. The same goes for his Master, even though Mukuro is his master and a very powerful illusionist, Fran also feels the need to tease him. Fran shows little respect for most people he encounters, whether comrade or foe, often calling Squalo, a "stupid commander" or even taking shots at the most unloved member of the group, Levi a than. He also makes fun of his Master's unusual haircut, calling him "Pineapple hair" and mischievously places, M.M’S bad upside down so it reads, W.W, a name that he calls her rather than her own name.
Fran has an awareness of how his attitude and comments affect people. Even though most of the time, he’s the one who gets hurt, he continues his assault. I believe Fran might take some pleasure in his taunting. Even though it’s hard to make out from his unenthusiastic personality, he seems to like goading people. Especially Belphegor, who seems to respond to his teasing the most. Even if most responses to his words and actions are violent, he seems to be somewhat amused by them. Or it could be possible that he doesn’t care about the outcome of his actions, since he hasn’t been deterred away from his teasing,
Besides the taunting, Fran has a childish side. One example is his view as “Illusions are like pranks”, in more than one occasion, Fran uses his illusion to trick others. Such as making the enemies believe that Belphegor and he had died or even posing as a Millefiore office in other to release Mukuro from prison. It could be that Fran’s perception for illusion is to trick, rather for any other purpose. Also, Fran’s box weapon, which is a miniature version of the Varia prince, is also comical. During the final battle, Fran even takes out a mini megaphone and pretends that everyone was just rehearsing. Perhaps, Fran’s indifference could be that he views the world nonchalantly. Casually believing that world is a playground, although Fran wouldn’t tell you this outright.
Though he views illusions as pranks, he still takes great pride in being an illusionist. The one thing he seems to show passion for is his ability to make his illusions as realistic as possible. It’s no question that Fran is a powerful illusionist, but his talent may be in his eye for detail. Though, he seems to be a perfectionist to the gory side of his illusions, Fran is still able to deceive his enemies and even his comrades, who actually believe they’ve reached such a horrifying end.
[Specialties/Abilities]
* Fran is a mist type, so he's an illusionist. Able to make up his own reality. He's pretty good at fooling other people's death which he takes great pride in trying to make realistic. Being a student under Mukuro, it shows how powerful an illusionist he is. The times he has used illusions, has remain undetectable to his opponents, such as with Rasiel, Belphegor’s twin older brother, impersonating Millefiore officers to break Mukuro out of prison and even in the final battle, where he works with Mukuro to fake the deaths of the Varia.
* He is a holder of a hell ring, the strongest set of mist rings in the world. Fran bears the “666” cursed ring, which is said to give the user one time chance of fortune after suffering 666 times of misfortune. Fran’s ring is considered unlucky, but due to his nonchalant personality the daunting nickname wouldn’t faze him.
* Fran also has a box weapon which is a miniature version of Belphegor. The box weapon seemingly has no special abilities except for being a shield against Ghost’s flame draining abilities.
* Fran has an odd immunity to pain. No matter what abuse his body goes through, the boy shows no signs of pain. And his body shows no signs of being injured. One speculation is that Fran uses his illusions, to make it appear that he has been stabbed by the weapon, but in actuality he hasn’t. This would explain how nonchalant he is about being inflicted with pain.
[Affection] Fran is not one to show affection, so he won't be doing much. Maybe shake your hand, but that's about it. He'll allow people hugging him, pinching his cheeks, smacking him at the back of his head and throwing knives at him...if that how you show "affection".
[Fighting] Fran is not really a fighter and he'll wouldn't fight back if change. Though he does take a lot abuse, but if you want to kill him ask permission first. Though, I don't think Fran would mind if you.
