An only child, Pilouette's parents divorced when she was four. Choosing her career over being a parent, Pilouette's mother forfeited all her parental rights. Though she often claims otherwise, Pilouette seems to resent her mother's decision and prefers not to see or speak to her and the two have little contact.
As such, her father, Armand, was left to raise his daughter alone, though he was (and still is) often away on business trips or required to work late. He often bemoans the fact that his job prevents him from spending more time with her, though it is because of this job that they are fairly well off. Though, he isn't home much, he's very protective of his daughter, even hating the idea of her dating. His extreme protectiveness causes Pilouette to feel that he doesn't think she can do anything on her own. When he is able to spend time with her, the two are usually very happy, especially when visiting Pilouette's grandparents/Armand's parents in Lille, France.
Despite these things, Pilouette is a reasonably happy, normal teenage girl. She attends a private school and often spends time alone at home. She's generally very sweet, though her reactions and emotions, happiness and anger included (ESPECIALLY anger) tend to be somewhat intense and she can change moods in a second. She's excitable, enthusiastic and perhaps even somewhat annoying. She's also a bit immature, often because she tries very hard to be an adult.
As a child, she thrived on fairy tales, especially ones about handsome princes and true love. Even now her view of romance is a bit idealized and innocent. Pilouette also seems to be a little obsessed with handsome guys, even secretly taking pictures of guys she likes, especially if they happen to be famous (though she will deny that she does this). However, no matter how charming or handsome a guy is, if he manages to really offend her she can and most likely will turn on him in a second.
