Feeling of Words

I find that "piano" is one of the funniest words I know. I often grin about the word, though mostly when I think of it or whisper it silently, rather than when I say it aloud, in conversation, say. I heard once that words with long e sounds are more relaxing to people, so that could be part of it.

One example I find even more interesting is the word "droll." I and at least one other person I know thought that "droll" meant boring for awhile, when it really means funny. For me at least, the sound of the word gave such a strong impression of boredom that I took it to literally mean "boring". I find this fascinating.

As a serious question, who here knows something about what kind of sounds trigger what kinds of emotions? I encourage you to post any tidbit (teehee, tidbit!) of yours relating to this subject!
