A year ago I caused some controversy by suggesting how tabletop RPGs appeal disproportionately to male tendencies laid down by evolution. My inflammatory post inflamed some folks, and I backed down. Now that I'm not beholden to Hasbro's stockholders any more, I can address my critics. This morning I indulged myself, and curious onlookers are directed to
this post and the many, many comments it generated.
It's distressing to see the egalitarians that I agree with rejecting evolutionary psychology with the same flawed arguments that creationists use against evolution: it's just a theory, it makes people behave badly, it's racist and sexist, it implies strict genetic fate, etc.
