Something I would do.
Soooo .. one of my new fav bands (ripleytheband.com) happens to be randomly be making a west coast appearance in LA on the 23rd. Which is the last day of a conference in Livermore I'm supposed to be at. Well, my stuff is done before the 23rd .... and I would only miss the last poster session if I left at 3:30. So, if I left at 3:30 and drove continuously I'd make it down to LA just, JUST, in time for ripley's set. ....hmmm, I'd love to try and explain to my prof why I'm leaving a little early.
On the other hand he flies to Germany every year for the love parade, because he is buds with the people who run it .....so, then again he might understand.
