First the rain... and now this?! [Hello, there is a huge stream of fire that shoots behind her, roasting another bug pokemon. Her Charizard looks ridiculously happy setting stuff on fire, that's for sure. But her trainer is ridiculously pissed off and she looks like she's about to tear her hair out... or something. Some of these bugs have been ( Read more... )

[Look who's in Azalea and taking this opportunity to use a potion on his scratched-up Clefairy (who looks a little purple, there...). He's got a very tired expression, and not quite his usual sleepy kind. Slightly more serious than usual, really.]

Don't know much about any fire chickens or whatever, but...

[Suddenly, along comes a Spinarak to attack Ryner while he and Rose are down!

"Quiiiiiiil!" But not to worry, because Ren the Cyndaquil has perched himself on Ryner's head, and just used Ember to knock it away. That's some impressive fire coming out of his back (for level 13, closing in on 14 thanks to all of this) - good thing he's on Ryner's head instead of his shoulder.]

But, well, if Cyndaquils are the fire mice you mean, Ren's got a strong flame, even if he's still young.

I see. So your Cyndaquil has been helping you out, huh? It's a shame that you have to be near... a forest, or at least from what I can see. Aren't most bugs from there?

Only saw Paras in the forest itself when I was traveling through a few days ago. Well, among the ones that are attacking anyway... Ah, I wouldn't really know, of course, but I'm not sure they're all from around here.

[Rose then pushes herself to her feet and runs off to join the fray once again. While still looking a little purple.]

Oi, Rose! Come back here - you're still poisoned! Shouldn't I fix that too?!

["Fairy!" Evidently, she wants him to save that Antidote for someone else. (Ah, the mechanics of Magic Guard, which he has never bothered to learn about until now, but she knows well.)

Which only causes him to bring his hand to his forehead and start rubbing it (being careful not to surprise brush up against the Cyndaquil who's still up there).]

Geeze... This is such a huge pain, you know?

Of course. There's too many of them. I'd recommend that you stay near a Pokemon Center. Despite the strength of our Pokemon, they're all bound to run out of Power Points eventually. Repels won't even work on these bugs.

[With a stream of fire behind Mammon, more bugs are wiped out.]

I would recommend gathering them in one spot and taking them out with one move. It saves Power Points and all, but only do it if your Pokemon are strong enough.

Say... How many antidotes do you have?

["Clefairy!!" There goes a Thunderbolt. Rose doesn't sound particularly bothered by the poison.]

Already let them know we're getting out of here when they get too tired. The point is to make sure the bug Pokémon don't badly hurt anyone - kind of defeats the purpose if any of us are, right?

["Sol!!" And there's an Absol running past, who just sent a Razor Wind flying toward several Pinecos bouncing after him. They're all caught up in the whirlwind and are sent flying far away.]

As for Antidotes... I had ten, and a few of those berries that apparently cure it too. Already used one to heal Pino earlier though.

[If you're eye catches the bottom corner of the video feed, you might be able to catch a small streak of pink running past, and a Skorupi following after it.]

If you don't use an antidote, you'll be wasting potions and other healing things. And keep a Pokemon close to you or they'll be slipping past your defenses and attacking you.

[Hence why Ren is still on his head. Who is in fact going to spit an Ember at a group of Paras who are coming closer, actually.]

I was going to! She just wouldn't let me, for some reason.

[She sighs, rather heavily too.]

Ryner. You are the trainer. You do whatever you want to your Pokemon. Take control!

Er... well, usually they train by themselves, so I'd probably just get in the way if I told them what to do... Rose would just smack me, really.

[And there go a pair of Noctowls flying overhead, luring a bunch of Ledybas and Yanmas to follow behind them.]

At least give them support by giving them the status healing items! You can always go buy some more later. Besides, doesn't your Clefairy know it lowers its attack power when it's poisoned? That's not going to do much.

["Clefairy!!" And there goes another Thunderbolt. It's been a few rounds, and yet she doesn't seem any more injured than when she ran back in.]

I... really don't think she cares...

Wow, Ryner. You're whipped. ... by your own pokemon. That's sad.

[Did you expect anything less?]

Haa... Seriously, you really don't have to put it that way.
