Asking the gym leaders sounds like a hassle though. I'm in Ecruteak City and it took forever to get across the traps and I don't think I want their phone numbers.

So Haunter is another Pokemon that evolves like that? That's so weird as to how they change their forms after being given away, even if they are being given back.

Does the Pokedex say anything about that too? Since it could just be seen as evolving at a certain level if one didn't know anything about it.
