Name: Dayna
Any nicknames? Whiplash. Received when I first started to drive. Needless to say, I wasn't very good.
Age (no under 13): 22
Sex: Female
Zodiac sign: Aquarius
Location: Ohio
Hobbies: Reading, hanging with friends, cooking
Likes: Open-minded people, kind people, animals
Dislikes: Close-minded people, rude people (when rude for no reason), hypocrites
Strong points: Kind, Compassionate, Intelligent, Funny
Weaker points: loner, critical, passive-aggressive
Favourites: (Explain why if you want to, though the last one is NOT an option)
Colour: Blue. It always makes me feel calm and content.
Smell: Gingerbread cookies baking in the oven. It always makes me feel cozy.
Animal: Snowy Owl. I'd tell you why, but I honestly have no idea.
Food: This one's hard. I guess I'll go with my Dad's lasagna. It's the best there is!
Drink: French Soda (it's flavored syrup, then part soda water and part half & half). It's soooooo delicious!
Place: Siena, Italy. I lived there for a month and it was fabulous!
Music: Tori Amos and the Dixie Chicks are my current favorites.
Movies: Office Space, The Shawshank Redemption, American Psycho, Clueless
Books: This is also hard (I work in a bookstore). I guess my current favorites are The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters, The Thirteenth Story, and The Knife Man (it's nonfiction about the first modern surgeon).
Historical era, and why: The Renaissance. There was just so much happening, not just with art, but with religion and social rules as well. Plus, I love the dresses.
If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you go, and why?: I would want to go to Scotland. It's where a huge number of my ancestors came from and a year would definitely give me some time to study my heritage. I also love how green it is there and the accents don't hurt :)
What historical, mythological, or legendary character do you most identify with, and why? I guess I'd say Charlotte Bronte/Jane Eyre (the novel was semi-autobiographical). Not that I was beaten or anything, but I grew up a very shy child with few friends. I also experienced a major change when I was young, which didn't help much (rather than becoming a governess, however, my experience was moving from Texas to Ohio at age 9). Eventually however, I came out of my shell and have been doing quite well ever since.
Do you have any creative talents?: I'm a good cook and a good knitter.
Are you willing to accept cross-gendered votes/stamps? Yep, as long as people are voting truthfully, I don't mind.
Anything else we should know?: I like the question about who I related to. It actually made me think.
