[Early in the day, people throughout the village might spot a suspicious rainbow streak jetting upwards into the sky. Higher and higher and higher she flies... Until, suddenly, that rainbow streak is rapidly plummeting down, faster and faster until there's a resounding CRASH!Oh, was that your house she bumped into? Maybe your garden? Business?

[Absorbed in errands for the Welcome Center, Rydia doesn't notice the cloud right away. It's only on her way back, after gathering supplies from the grocery store for lunch, that she finally spots the rather low cloud hovering nearby. Pausing, she stares upward curiously.]

[She's just chillin'. Just chillin' on a cloud. Maybe waiting for a chance to pop out and spook somebody.

But, huh. These people sure have a lot of different hair colors. Pink and now green? Not too different from ponies, to that end.]

[She hasn't quite seen magic like this before, and is that a pair of--]

[She raises an eyebrow, watching curiously.]

So she's suddenly popping her head out and making a weeeird face. Blegh!]

[She takes a sudden step back, but doesn't stumble or drop her grocery bag. After living in Luceti for so long, she's learned to expect weirdness.]

You know, I think you're one of the first people who hasn't freaked out.

[She begins to smile at that.]

Well, I'm used to a lot of weirdness. I'm Rydia Highwind, a volunteer at the Welcome Center.

Welcome Center? Didn't know this place had one.

[Though it makes sense, if people keep showing up here outta the blue.]

[She does the pony equivalent of a shrug and then brings herself to the ground. Yep, totally gonna let that cloud hover close to the ground like it's nothing.

She can always get rid of it later.]

[Another curious glance to the cloud, then she nods.]

It's right this way.

[She starts them off after switching her bag to the other arm.]

Stuff about Mal... nose-ohs and experiments. I guess this place is called Luceti? And somebody said that you use books to talk to people here.

That's right. You can speak into them, and fix it so that only certain people can hear you or forbid them from hearing you, depending. I can show you how to do that.

The Malnosso built this place...and yes, they run experiments. We should be getting one later this month, though I can't say what form it will take. That always changes. Whatever form it takes, Luceti is bound to become chaotic in that time.
