I think I'll go to bed early tonight... (hah, like THAT will happen)
The guy who was selling the car, Andy, he's good friends with our former neighbors. I dropped the papers off this afternoon, and he recongnized me right offhand... hehe... He called at around 4:30. So he's talking to me, and he's hemming and hawing the first minute, saying that, for me being 21, my credit is really good, stuff like that. Then he said the car is all mine if I still want it. So I have to get up tomorrow, and go down to Caldwell and sign more papers for it. He said he was able to take the 4-year loan, and spread it out to 5. Somehow that also includes a slightly lower interest rate (?), but that would make the payments around $89 a month, as compared to $120 (in the end, $5340 instead of $5760). Which is good, because I called Geico for a quote, and for full coverage... well... It's a lot. lol... But
Chad (and my mom, too) mentioned about me piggybacking off my parent's insurance plan with Progressive. So if I were to do that, we'd have 3 vehicles and our camper on that plan. Hopefully that will be a little bit more reasonalbe... So I'll probably call Progressive and see how that'll stack up. I dunno... Part of me feels like I'm giving myself a larger plate than I can really handle... :/
But the car needs a few things... Washed. It needs new tires in the near future, an oil change REALLY bad, and a new valve cover gasket (~$75). And floormats. And a name... haha...
And I think I might splurge a bit more, and get different
license plates for it. Maybe elk ones? Something different than the standard ones would be nice.
