ugh... I'm glad I'm not in Coeur d'Alene right now...
Government Way bridge to be dismantled, rebuilt
So they're redoing the bridge because it's narrow. Hi, has anyone tried walking across I-90 on Highway 95? Granted it's 4 lanes, but there's no room at all on the sides of 95 to walk or bike! Atleast the bridge on Government Way has sidewalks! If you're walking or biking on 95, you have to turn on Appleway and cross I-90 on Government, then down to Ironwood and back to 95 (or vice-versa if you're going north), lest you get squashed by a semi on the 95 overpass.
"The bridge will shut down June 27 and motorists will have to use alternate routes including Ramsey Road/Northwest Boulevard, U.S. 95, Fourth Street and 15th Street"... So not only are you short a north-south road, but now you have to use a road which all have interstate ramps :/
