So, I start work on Monday. I am actually excited for it, sort of. The part that stinks is that I need to be there at the butt crack of dawn and I live an hour away! Waking up is going to suck! What actually really stinks is that I talked to my new training room bossman and he informed me that his wife has cancer...again. I feel so bad for them. He said that I am going to have to be tough for him. I said, "No problem. I have nothing better to do." He said that was a great attitude to have. Works for me! Looks like I might be acting as head trainer lady while he is tending to his ill wife. I hope she beats it again, but it doesn't sound good.
Other than that, I have been keeping busy with family and old friends. Oh how I miss it here! I have been hanging out with my pilot friend, JOSH, a lot! I love that kid. He is so goofy fun! Back in the day we had the "My Best Friend's Wedding" pact, but now I have Henrique! I am hoping that he finds a job up here soon. He will be here this weekend and that is our mission...find him a job and a place to live! Otherwise, I might have to reenstate the pact! ;) Josh is a good kid, just needs to mature a little bit and he'll be fine!
I think that is about it! I have seen a couple movies...OH! Funny story (hope no one is offended!)... First...I was jogging in my hood the other day, and it was dark out...as I ran passed this house, I noticed that the lights were on and the shades were up in an upstairs room. I look up and there is this ENORMOUS picture of Sadaam Hussein staring at me...just a little freaky! Damn terrorists in the hood again! Anyway...then my sister and I went to go see The Village, right?! As we are walking in, there are a million "terrorist-looking" people (really bad way of saying middle easterner type people, is that right? the indian people, not native american...I have no idea what the PC term is for that but who cares? It's MY journal, right?!)...My sister and I were like, "What is it 'Terrorist night out at the movies'?" So, we get our tickets and we stand in line for what we think is for the village. Well, we are surrounded by these brown people not sure what was going on. They were semi-rude...pushy line jumpers. Well my sister likes to mock rude people, so she did. One lady gave her a dirty look, and that made me laugh...then my sister was like "What is this MUJSHE business?" The girl behind us finally explains that it is a foreign film. We were like "OOoh! it all makes sense now." The girl was like, "Don't you feel like the minority?" My sister responds, "Yep, but that's the way it tends to be these days. I think we are going to stay in this line since you are all such nice people." She chuckles and grabs me as we decided to be FAT KIDS and get popcorn and other delicious snacks! All in all, the village = good love story...bad scary movie/suspense/thriller!
Also saw Manchurian Candidate...denzel washington = the POOP! good movie...well, I liked it!
that the update on teach! word to your mothers!
