MY FIRST RACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I M HURTING A BIT RIGHT NOW!!!
well i have been super busy. first school has been hell. either the class is way too easy or it has too much work. and my trans is taking forever to put back together.
then on friday i went to work, and then went out with my sister, and my cousin josh, and the Dee.
what else did i do fuck my ass.
o yeah saturday, i went to illiana speedway and i bought a race car!!! its a honda civic hatchback and its fast!!!!!!lets run it down for you
well first off i have had to learn how to drive a stick shift. so we (me dad diana) get to the track and we meet Dave who is selling me his car. its number 27. and we meet, so we talk for a few minutes, and he brings out the car so we can look at it. man o man is it a beauty.
so then my dad says he get in and try it, i was like "hmmm ok" alittle nervous because i havent driven since i was 16, and i have never driven stick. but i managed ok, but i fucked up a bit getting into reverse, but nothing too bad.
so i sign up to race and i go into the pits. i get into the car before my race and i strap in. i fit ok in the car. not too bad. so i was in a rush to make it out to the first heat race. but i made it. i missed my shift when i entered the track but that was ok.
in this heat i started 24 out of 24. ***i told everyone that i knew there that i would not push the car at all and that i would stay in the back of the pack and get a "feel" for the car. so i was about two car lengths behind the last car and the green flag went. so i started pushing the gas, and went I MEAN WENT. i shifted fine, and thought nothing of it. i got through the first turn and i was now about 20th, i wasted no time in going. eventhough i said i would take it easy. i was just like natural. i mean it was almost exactly like a video game. i was AWESOME!!! well lap two going into turn one, the car in front of me went in too hot and locked his brakes and spun out right in front of me, and Dave the guy i bougth the car from thought that that was the end of his car that i was going to hit this car. but no, i just got on the brakes a bit more, and turned lower. and i passed about five more cars there. that was all the exciting things in the first heat race, it was only 8 laps.
so then i get out of the car and the adrenaline was flowing like crazy. i was on top of the world. so i get out and immediately Dave and his wife are there patting me on my back congratulating me, i finished about 7-10 somewhere in there.
so then i went to the stands where my dad and diana were sitting. and they were proud of me too. but then after a few races i went bakc to the pits to get ready for the next race.
its finally time for the main race. its 20 laps long. and i start way in the back. i was supposed to start in 36 but idiots dont know how to line up and i ended up starting 40 out of 41!!! GAY. not even the first lap and cars were passing me. well the green flag fell and we were off. going into the first turn was chaos. the jackass cheater in the 48 car took out his competition in the 34 car, and as the 34 spun down the track in front of me, i was forced to go a little higher line then i took all night long, and then the 48 car got into my right rear quarter panel and off i went into the grass. so what do i do. i stay in the gas and take the grass as an alternate route. and i get back on track. then two laps later the caution came out, because two cars crashed on the front strecth. and long story short there were two cautions the rest of the time, there were cars all over the place stopped and bumper, big bumper everywhere. the good news is that i m ok after smashing the turn four wall. HARD!!! i hit hard, but i m ok. someone got barely into me and sent me flying. the alignment is off by 90 degrees.
i finished third, unofficially. for the simple fact that i went on to the grass, which is going off track and thats illegal and not allowed. so i probably place like 13th or something. i was the first car a lap down. GAY!!! but i still really finished third if they count me there!! third across the line and no one passed me *Meaning the leader never did*.
