Needing a weekend to recover from my weekend!!
My weekend was pretty good... but, I'm very tired from it.
Lets see... I had a soccer game Thursday night and uh... well... we got slaughtered!!! We didn't have a goalie, so yours truly played in goal the second half, but by then the damage was almost all done! The field was really crappy and in front of the goal there was about at least 3 inches of sand, so it was like playing on the beach... and it sucked!! lol I think I had a target drawn on me cuz I got hit in the face with the ball... my left thumb bent backwards... my left knee found the cement under the sand when I dove for a couple of shots and it is still a little swollen... the bruises on my fore-arms have pretty much gone away... yes, all that is from the balls that I was able to block without all the padding and protection that a real goalie has!! Oh yeah, and we still got beat 5-0!!!
Friday was ok... wanted to see that movie House of Wax, but ended up not seeing it and just hanging out a little and watching Anchorman. I know it is a goofy movie, but it cracks me up.
It was late and I was on my way home and Cindy called me (yeah, one of those middle-of-the-night calls), and since I wasn't that far away... I brought breakfast over and crashed at her place.
Saturday was my sister's crawfish boil/pool party for Mother's Day for my mom and her gf's mom. I had a great time!! My sister's gf (Leda)... her mom digs me... she is mean, and just full of piss and vinegar, but I give her a hard time and make her laugh (and I just pay attention to her and I don't treat her like she is old), so my sister says that Leda's mom likes me and my sister more than her own kids! LOL
I had fun playing with the kids (until Leda's 10 year old nephew nailed me in the head with the ball) quit whining you say?!?!?!... he was standing right above me on the side of the pool when he did it! lol *cartoon birds flying in circles over my head*... lol and the crawfish were dee-lish... and I made some lemon-drop martinis... YUM!! I didn't sleep very much or very well the night before so I left and went home and to take a nap cuz I was invited to go to Galveston that night... but, I didn't make it! :o( I wanted to go... but I didn't know the details of where and when and stuff... and, and, and, I was kidnapped!!! lol Thats all I'm gonna say about that! And besides, I had another game at 9:00 the next morning...
Sunday was a long day (didn't not sleep well at all the night before...dam dogs! lol) *In my best whiney homo voice* I was just riddled with injuries! (and Cindy always manages to find them and hurt them over and over again, and not in a good way!) lol But, I had a really good game (even my team mates said I play better with injuries) hmmmm....
After my game I got cleaned up and then went to my other sister's for my nephew's B-Day... Had very interesting conversation with the fam... (that is a whole other LJ entry cuz it was very, very funny! ie: piercings, bulls balls, tattoos, my Dad's underwear just to name a few) Then the skies opened up and we got a shit-load of rain and a little hail! As soon as it let up I went home, but it was still raining off and on. I love the rain and the lightning!
Cindy invited me over to watch the L-Word, so I went over there and we went junk food shopping. Yeah, junk food shopping... originally it was just a run to the store for popcorn and something to drink... umm no, didn't end up that way... For such a small person, she sure can eat a lot of junk sometimes! lol Then she thought I was crazy when I said I wanted to play in the rain, but with a little coaxing (and dragging and taunting) she indulged me! I was shocked! We were crackin' up and her neighbors just knew we were crazy, but we didn't care... it was fun! Then we took a shower, and sat down and ate junk food and watched the L-Word... Sunday was a good, fun, relaxing day!

I was exhausted when I finally got home and just crashed... I so did not want to come to work yesterday.
Speaking of work... it is getting a lot better! Finally!! But, I'm still gonna keep looking!
