Mercy had no trouble at all following her nose to where the doctor type was. "Hey," she said from the doorway. "Mercedes Thompson reporting as directed."

Owen was peering at some tissue samples from their latest catch under the microscope when she arrived. He waved vaguely at her without looking up.

"Have a seat on the table with paper down, there's a girl."
