Random things worth mentioning

For some reason I refuse to believe that my E7 (MATLAB) midterm tomorrow is going to be that hard. This is in spite of the fact that almost every time I write a code, I have some sort of error in it the first time around. So instead of feverishly memorizing the textbook, I'm looking up coats on clearance at Macys.com, compulsively checking the weather forecast, and of course wasting time on Facebook/LJ...

But mostly I'm stressing about all the crap that I have to do before spring break. I have no free time. Literally. None. Ok, well maybe I would if I weren't spending all this time on the innernets. But I think I would go crazy if I forced myself to be actively (and productively) working my brain for 10+ hours a day. I have this little voice in the back of my mind saying, "Ha ha, what if you have a nervous breakdown? Wouldn't that be funny? This is what you get for taking 4 techs and participating in overly-demanding extra-curricular activities. Ha ha ha!"

Thanks, FSAE Rules Committee, for spitting our previous report back at us because it's not detailed enough. Now we get to do even more calculations and even more diagrams. Oh, by the way, we're trying to finish a Cost Report here. Yeah, the 5"-thick one. Oh yeah, and we're trying to build a car. Heh, nearly forgot about that one, did you? OH WAIT, and we're also full-time students. We have homework and labs and exams that we also have to do. Imagine that.
And on top of that, my twisted logical processes have determined that now is the time to be finding awesome new musakz. Not after midterms, not after reports. RIGHT NOW. As a result, I think I've found more new music in the past week than I have in the past three months. Most notably: Regina Spektor (so obsessed right now!), Kate Nash, and this weird German electronica band called Ms. John Soda. Also I've rekindled my appreciation for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, whom I have mostly spurned since high school.

On a side note, I received my unit assignment for my supervisor job! I'll be working at Unit 1. Time to look for an apartment on southside.

Awesome David Lander Quote of the Day (after being forced to play "Never Have I Ever" at the Tau Beta Pi meeting):
David: That guy said he'd never gotten hammered and only half of the people stood up. What kind of college is this anyway?
We were playing the musical chairs version, in which if you have done whatever the speaker has never done you have to stand up and find a new chair. Actually, the best part of that meeting was when one guy said that he'd never had a threesome and a good quarter of the people in the circle got up.

Even Better David Lander Quote of the Day (in response to TBP's claim to have a great guy-to-girl ratio):
David: What do they mean by a "good" guy-to-girl ratio anyway? Because if it's good for the guys, then it's bad for the girls. And if it's good for the girls, then it's bad for the guys. Unless it's exactly 50-50, in which case it's good for no one.

Polyamory, anybody?
