Isshin's reaction if/when Ichigo and Rukia get together. He'd spaz out, Rukia would spaz out, they'd hug with a colorful background yelling "MY DAUGHTER!" "DEAR FATHER!" and Ichigo would shoot blood out of his ears in the background.

Hitsugaya has issues, Hinamori has issues, but they play well together, as shown in plenty of flashbacks. Who else is he gonna get with? Rangiku? Matsumoto's still got her eye on Gin, and I figure we'll get a fight between the two eventually.

And yeah, Rowling End is the death mark here. In Naruto it's a good thing - HAY NARUTO YOUR MOM WAS A REDHEAD SO GUESS WHAT - but it's harder to say with Ichigo. The only reason I figure they'd do IchiHime End is if Rukia went "I'm dead, asshat, we can't make babby." Which would suck. IchiHime/RukiRen End seems most likely, but that's boring and stupid and awful. Renji doesn't deserve Rukia.

Caveat: If Hinamori is STILL all "But he can be changed!!" after this - which would make the SECOND TIME he has purposely gotten her gravely injured - then Hitsugaya should hedge his bets and move on.

I'm just bummed because I know the closest we'll see of actual IchiRuki content is that one ED where they were asleep next to each other outside. That's probably the closest to contact-while-sleeping they'll get. If shounen is good at anything, it's not following through on fucking romance subplots. There are exceptions, of course, but for the most part, it goes the way of Ranma.

Bringing logic into anime, but do dead people have to use the bathroom? If so, then Rukia ain't been washin' her hands!

And yes, the dive for Ichigo was awesome. Everyone else was going up, Ichigo was going down, so Rukia went "...Nope!" and went after him.

I... have no idea. I can't think of any reference to toilets or the use thereof by dead folk. I guess not.

So on a scale of 1 to Cloud, where would you estimate Ichigo's BSOD for next chapter?

Naught. Ichigo's going to get in a fight with his dad for a few before going "Oh hay everyone's dead or dying, maybe we oughta not be dicks to each other" and teaming up. Isshin's power cancels Aizen's power (since Isshin is the missing king, making Ichigo royalty) and the twins are the two halves of the Key.

Yeah, in fandom right now estimate is you'd make the big money betting Ichigo ISN'T royalty now. The whole king/horse thing and the number of times he's been shown with heraldry in art spreads kind of gives it away. Pllleaaase make Ichigo the king or something, so he HAS to go live in SS...

Popular opinion is that Isshin's from the Royal Guard, but I would't be too surprised if he was the king of heaven after all.

Karin and Yuzu being the key would blow my MIND, though.

Haha. Ichigo's the King, Isshin sealed his memory, Urahara mind-wiped all of Soul Society and that's why he's in exile...

So how long do you think Bleach has? I'm hoping we're just at the halfway mark. We still haven't seen Hell yet. I figure Aizen will remain the Big Bad to the end, he'll just undergo some transformations or something.

Whatever the case, I want Ichigo to get newer, more kingly regalia and a different-looking zanpakutou when it's revealed he's royalty.

So would Rukia be able to sign on as his personal bodyguard? "You're with him all the time anyway. I'd say you'd make the best guard of all of us."

Kubo says he has planned currently one short arc about Isshin (probably his tragic love story with Masaki) and one more major arc, so at least 2-3 years left. Agreed that Aizen will be the villain to the end. The next arc will probably be dealing with Aizen taking the Throne of Heaven, because he sure isn't going to lose here.

Best possible next event: Urahara arrives, the Hoagie explodes. You think I'd create something I couldn't destroy?

Well, if he's the king/prince, he's required by fiction law to have a queen/princess, right? Rukia's from a noble house. Bam.
