Wow... that was a humbling experience. So depressed. I had a rough time accepting the defeat. I've been waiting a long time for the Cubs to get to the WS. The Cubs overachieved in a weak division even though they blew a 3-1 series. The Marlins were the wild card team, but they had a better record than the Cubs. I think they had the best record in baseball after may or june. I guess I have to give them credit for not giving up and they are just a clutch team.
I hate fox and their announcers. Just couldn't stand listening to them. They didn't show the 7th-inning stretch in the 2nd game of the NCLS. WTF! they had bernie mac and he fucking jinked us. Root, Root for the CHAMPS!!! Another pathetic plug-in by fox and I can't stand the stupid green screen in the background. I prefer the radio call but it's not in sync with the TV. Tbe Radio call is a few seconds faster than the TV. I knew the 3-HR by the marlins happened before everybody. So, I shut the walkman off.
It's not that guy's fault. There were a bunch of idiots reaching out for that ball. I guess they need to learn from red sox fans. They didn't snatch the ball away from Trot Nixon when he made that awesome catch to rob a HR from Jeter in game 4 or 5.
I'm sick of the goat curse. It's not the damn goat's fault. It's the tribune company and management. Hopefully, the team starts spending some money. Although a team of all-stars doesn't mean a guaranteed world series title or a playoff team. It's all about chemistry and a great pitching staff. The cubs need to make some smart acquisitions. Sadly, I guess wait till next year. It's been great to be in Chicago to enjoy most of the playoffs though.
It's tough being a Chicago sports fan, but I'm only a Cubs fan fortunately. They have the worst owners. McCaskey sucks. Reinsdorf fucked the sox over in '94. Wirtz is a cheap bastard. Tribune company blows. I'm glad Detroit doesn't have cheap owners. Detroit teams choke, but eventually bounce back and win a championship. Hopefully, Cubs can end this misery. I guess life goes back to normal now. Ron Santo, Get Well. Wait til next year.
