so last night my dad was having issues cuz we only had 3Gs of space left on the computer, and how in the world could that be?!?!?!?! so he had himself a little fit, completely ignoring my explanation, and then 20 minutes later (after he had commandeered the comp) he turns around and repeats to me the explanation i had just given him. dargh. n e ways in amongst my stress and frustration i got out of him the info that all the pics he took in hawaii were on the external harddrive... yaaaa he just neglected to inform me of that the past 3 weeks when ive asked him for copies of the pics every single day. but n e ways i got them this morning. i only have 2 up in my photo album, but once i convert em all to smaller files and jpg format ill let u guys know so u can check em out.

heres the link- if something doesnt work lemme know kk

thursday:

it was cormac's idea that the group went on this hike/kayak adventure on thanksgiving. ya know see Gods amazing creation, be thankful, etc etc. well we had to be there at 7. which meant we had to leave at 620. which meant we were up at 530. well more like everyone was up except me, and i rolled out of bed at 555 and put on a bathing suit and shorts. we then ate breakfast. and when i say we i mean my parents while i sat there staring at my cup of coffee. but lydia gave me a couple croussants and pastries to take (for free!)... such a nice woman. so we drive out there. get our kayaks. start kayaking. its like 1.5 mi kayak, 1.5 mi hike one way so im like cool not far. well its cloudy as we are kayaking and huh suddenly it starts raining. good thing it wasnt cold. so we dock our kayaks on some island that jesse decides is the right spot (which it turns out it is not) and we wait for all the others to catch up. meanwhile the entire place is infested with mosquitoes cuz its damp and humid. and very very muddy. so we cross a stream, walk thru a little island, cross another river (a little river but bigger than a stream- the deepest part wasnt even waist high) and then we are on the right land mass to start our trek. so ash jesse and connor go on up ahead and ciara and i lag a little behind them and then the rest of the group are behind us (prolly like 5 mins in btwn each group) (remember the grouping cuz its the same on the way down and itll be important) we get thru all the mud and get to this AMAZING waterfall. (pics to come) hang out there till other groups start gettin there so we decide to go back. same groups as b4, but this time ciara and i get held up cuz some guide tells me to walk in the middle of the puddle so i wont slip and i practically sprain my ankle in doing what he says. ya he felt bad. last time i listen to a guide. n e ways oh back to the story. trish falls and hits her head (which needs an entirley other long explanation on why thats horrible) so the last group gets way behind. well we get down to the first river and im lookin at it and instead of the blue green it is now mud red. ciara wades in and i stopped her cuz the water that wasnt at my feet 1 minute ago is now up to my ankles. so we get up on higher ground and this huge tree goes barreling down, which would have cost ciara and i our lives if we had attempted to swim it. there were bout 30 kayaks all lined up on the shore (from all the other groups) and they all get pushed down the river with the current. all that was left was one paddle. ciara and i couldnt help but laugh cuz it wasnt up the crick without a paddle, it was up the rushing river wihtout anything but a single paddlee. ha it still gives me the giggles. sux for those guides that had to swim for em. well we sit and wait for the rest of the group, and jesse goes to get help from the 'base' cuz his group of 3 got across b4 the rivers became rushing. my dad, michael taylor, and cormac decide to swim across to see if they can get the kayaks and bring em around to where we are. that doesnt work cuz they barley get across the first stream and the second one is even worse. we sit and wait for about 45 minutes, all the while getting eaten by mosquitoes. yummy. the entire nation from smith's kayaks comes. they rig up a kayak to rope and are gon take ppl across in that. matt and the camera gear get across. rebecca and ciara get across. they load martha and i on (which was wayyy to much weight, and i should have said something) and we tip. martha and i are totally cool with it cuz it was so much fun. boys jump in and swim with us to the side (they jumped in so just in case we didnt get to the shore in time they would be able to float with us all the way back.... i dunno) one guy basically pulled martha to shore as if she was drowning, but my guy just kinda guides me to the side and while we are stadning there insists on not letting go of my hand cuz u know im so light i might float away down the river. n e ways they decide after one capsize they arent gonna try again so they just tie the rope across and u hold on and pull urself across. all is well. and 'my guy' goes across with me (behind me) so that in case i lose thr rope or something hes right behind me.... we all get across... all is wel... we kayak back... what an adventure!!! i was so tired after that... so we took showers cuz we were filthy... just layed around until dinner. dinner was good- ashley was just a little tipsy. lol we went around the table (all 16 of us) and said what we were thankful for... ashley and i cried.. and then my dad said he was thankful for hannah and we all cried. i cant remember anything else from that night. we might have gone to the spa but i dunno. oh well.. that was the day. very eventful. and as was cormac's intent (although not to that extent) we came out of that trip EXTREMEMLY thankful. it was very evident to all of us just how quickly a life can be taken, and how just how incredibly gracious and powerful our Lord is....
