From a myspace bulletin he posted:
"dear friends folks and fans....
we have come to the end of our fall tours,
and have officialy ushered for hero : for fool into the world...
and it was a complete success,
playing our favorite songs for our favorite people...
and we found some new ears to fall upon as well.....
we would like to extend a huge and whole hearted thankyou,
to everyone that came to make electro-party with us
across the u.s.ofa...u.k...and europe.....
so, thank you....
now for the BAD NEWS...
on november 23rd, thanksgiving...
while in barcelona,
our tour van was broken into, and my and martys bags were stolen....
in my bag was my glasses,passport,nanoloops,psp,laptop,
and every penny of the tour money....
in short this theif got a 15,000 dollar bag.....
and we are devestated...
this loss has been a very serious body blow to the band....
so beside the fact that we finished the tour with a 10,000 dollar deficit, and no personal money....
i have also lost everything important to me which i can not afford to replace.....
new subtle demos,solo songs,poems,artwork, you name it, they were all on my laptop....
luckily i backed up the 10,000 words for the next subtle record before i left for tour....so at least the most irreplaceable thing of all is still here....
i had a dream about doing a fund raiser, the day after
where people send in a donation, return address, and a photo...
and i do a portrait of them and send it back to them,
so thanks to astropitch, we are going to make this happen....
i will do a follow up post to this one, with all the details,
so if your feeling generous this holiday season, and have always wanted your skull drawn, please stay tuned....
we deffinatly need the help in this our hour of need,
and i feel like this is a very genuine way to ask for your help...
with a return of art, and quality time...
so again stay tuned for all the details....
as for the mercury craze remix contest,
the winner announcement has been postponed,
seeing as all of the remixs were on my computer....
so you all have another week...
we will announce the winner on friday december 8th,
after we get home and can regroup, so for those of you still tinkering,
this theif has bought you some time....
