50 Days of Dragon Con Countdown - Days 3-4

Day 3 (58 Days) - Leigh’s 1-2-4 Rule (Part 1)
(Podcast Location: The Unique Geek)Rule 1 is all about taking 1 shower every single day.
I don't shower every single day in my real life, even living in Texas, because 1) my body temperature regulates like a miracle thing so I don't begin sweating until we're in the upper 90's and 2) because my hair is epic in its care needs (both not needing to be washed daily or even every other day, and in it's needs to air dry for many many many hours, and it's explosive day one poof of ALIVE).
At con I usually run this down to about every two days, and/or any time I feel roady from too many people being near me or being stuck in a party room at night that was too hot. (My showers are always an evening (read: midnight to 3 am) event because of the aforementioned drying time mentioned above and because I wake up for Daily Dragon and then I'm off and running instantly to my panels.
But something that did catch my eye was a Pro-Tips for Con Crud Avoidance article around the SDCC time, that listed a lot of ways to alleviate Con Crud build up on every single day of the con. Vitamins & Vitamin C/Emergen-C & allergy meds every morning, hand sanitizer pretty much any time you remember you have it on you, and a shower every single night. So that you are putting forth an intense effort to keep everything 'gick' off your body and out of your system as often as physically possible.
I'm as "my kids will eat the dirt and get sick" as the next girl, but I do not invite the con crud into my life. It's a miracle enough I'm going to get to go to this con, given it's on the second week of school and it's two days on top of a already existing three day holiday weekend, the very last thing I want to do is inconvenience my coteacher/plc team or my boss any further by being out sick the first days I get home.
Thus, I'm thinking this shower every day thing may be a thing for me. Except with like putting my hair up in a bun or under a shower cap except for days 2 and 4, because of the above reasons and also because POOF ALIVE would be just another problem in the days I need it to be flat as possible for wigs or certain character hairstyles for slicked back flat and tamed as possible.
Because anything to keep the Con Crud at a distance sounds glorious.
Day 4 (57 Days) - Kevin & The Newbies
Additional Guests: Jesse Rath (Defiance), The Ken Spivey Band, Alex Konat (Fathom), Peter Steigerwald (Aspen Comics co-owner) This one doesn't have much I need to it, but it's a general really good early one. It talks about the Facebook group for newbies, the walking tours on Thursdays and the Dragon Con 101 panels (that as of last year had like 400 person attendance at them). I would have loved these my nearly a decade ago. I definitely like it's around, because I think there's so much to see, learn, and find out about this con that you really don't figure out without some help or a few years of inundation. (Tours start about 2pm on Thursday.)
The first warnings about the fact you end up walking 20-30 miles throughout the week. Bring water bottles, carrying water bottles, and take advantage of the water that is out everywhere. Fill those cups and water bottles. They want everyone to do that. (And I super can't wait, as I have a Con Bag of Holding specific Doctor Who blue-silver Tardis water bottle this year.)
* - Find the Con Suit (since I still don't think I've ever been in it, and only walked by it once)
Guh. Can I just start packing right now? How about at least being allowed to back my new Con Bag of Holding?
