Disclaimer - Influenster is a pretty awesome program, where you sign up, pick passions of your life, and for each of those passions you will out person survey’s, links, and reviews (either write or recommending).
The end result of which is getting sent a complimentary (read free) VoxBox of samples from Influenster, which you are then asked to review (through another set of surveys, twitters, facebook, istagram photos, vine/youtube videos and blog posts - whatever your review schtick is and however much you decide to be involved with reviewing).
Just so you don’t sign up expecting a big sudden bang of getting boxes, I signed up about two months before I got picked for my first box. So my best advice is sign-up and do all the things on the website you can, and you’ll end up there in a few months.
Mary Kay® Bronzing Powder
Just being honest I, accidentally, read this one wrong, by the means of not reading the label at all and thought it was eye shadow at first. It is quite a lovely shade in eye shadow. However. It's really amazing when actually used as a bronzer. You know. Which is what it is. So that makes a lot more sense.
Mary Kay® Translucent Loose Powder
This was nice, but I think I like my normal powder a little better than it, because it does the job this one does, but also matched my skin tint. Whereas this one does a great job, but the only color cover/blending you'll get form this set for your face as a pallet is the bronzer. So, good for it's job, but not something I'd be looking into investing in in the future.
I really did love the brush sent for this one though. But I'm
Mary Kay® Mineral Cheek Color
Lovely striking color on my pale skin, but also pretty generic and normal in that. Blush does really good with my skin tone and bringing out my eye color.
Mary Kay® Cream Eye Color in Apricot Twist
This. I loved this. I'm not usually a cream eyeshadow fan. In fact I usually avoid it like the plague. But this, and the brush sent with for application, worked so well this time. I loved the color. I loved the way it stayed. I may very well look into
Mary Kay® Cream Eye Color/Concealer Brush
Amazing brush! I love brushes. I always want to buy and own and squee over brushes. This one worked amazingly.
Mary Kay® Lash Love® Mascara
A really great mascara. The wand is a little crazy and amazing looking, but even a single application went on effortless and was graceful, glorious long lines. I was really impressed with this, and I'm usually pretty blaze about how one mascara is as good as the rest. I'm going to enjoy continuing to test this one
Mary Kay® Gel Eyeliner with Expandable Brush Applicator in Jet Black
I'm still learning how to use this one. I'm very much a hand applicator, single-device, eye liner girl. Whether that's a pencil, or a brush that self-readies in its container. So this was difficult to gauge and I've played with it a few times, and I'm still trying to figure it out. We'll see.
Mary Kay® NouriShine Plus® Lip Gloss in Mango Tango
I was super surprised about this one.
I am not a red girl by any means, so the moment I pulled this out of the box I thought this was definitely not the thing for me. But I put it on for a date today, with the other cool shades and a light silver-blue-black shirt and it was striking on me. Like amazingly striking. A pop of color, played off perfectly with the summer shades and clothes.
From this morning's date; here's a shot of my using my Mary Kay Box
