Mail, mail, mail
My Subscription Addiction is truly an addicting little thing. It was my thing I decided to do for myself during the Black Friday/Internet Monday weekend (to try out the free or nearly-free reduced box specials that popped up), while I was winnowing away my entire savings on the Christmas presents for everyone in my life. Which is, no worries, what that savings was there for. I haven't yet had to touch my credit card once this Christmas, which seems somehow impossible but it remains insanely true.
Side-stepping Subscriptions & Boxes pictures for one more step to the side, I finally did something awesome I've wanted to do for years and years, too. My family has this habit of sending things at Christmas, above and beyond the presents. My Gramma sends people boxes of fruit from Harry & David, and my parents send everyone boxes of 6-8 grapefruit from Pittman & Davis, and finally this year I got in on it.
I sent everyone (my grandmother, my uncle, my parents, my family in Dallas, and both of the newly married cousin couples) a box of dark chocolate heart-shaped biscuits/cookies from Godiva. All of which are set to arrive as surprises in their mail this week, even though I purchased them at amazingly insane prices on Internet Monday. I love it. I got to participate and it's something very me as the gift.
