(With hopefully more to come in the future)
I've been thinking about this a lot, because several people on the "What would you like to see me write about?" post said they truly, deeply missed seeing me write about my religious pursuits, and I'd like to get back to that, too. Some of them are complicated, and sometimes it's finding free time to write.
But I promise you I very much do still have the pictures you were talking about. So in no short order, some tiny bringing you up to speed updates that aren't write-ups or picture posts yet --
I. RCG
Currently, still sitting on The Council. This is the end of my third year/start of my fourth (based on Thursday/Sunday of last week, which was our annual ritual/first new council meeting with new Council Members). I did step away from Secretary this year to focus on more important growth in this area/with this group though.
I am having some problems with this group lately, though. Which I haven't figured out how to write about, so there may be some locked non-RCG member (or friends-locked to include the few RCG people on my journals, who I prize the advice of, but not the whole helter-skelter world) posts coming.
Above and beyond that -- the recent fall retreat was two weeks ago, and I have pictures and so many thoughts I want to write-out. (How would you guys feel about it if I wrote posts about religious event, when I could, even if it was during the day, and added the pictures in at home?)
Also, I'm taking part in planning for the Yule ritual soon, and I'm on the editorial board for the literary e-zine we revitalized and started putting out again earlier this year (the first one was out as Summer Solstice, the second at Mabon, the next will be Yule-ish).
II. Blue Moon Meets
This is still on my list, too. I really want to write about my altar and The Hero cards. This was an important weekend and I really don't want to let it slip by entirely. I want to show you my pictures and talk about some of the most beautiful and hardest parts of it for me (I value both so very much, because shadow work is amazingly invaluable to me, especially when it comes out of nowhere).
III. Texas Pagan Ball
Ended up on the board for this a few months ago, too.
I couldn't even tell you how many months ago it was (six? seven?) , but I can tell you it's a pretty closed group, working tirelessly hard to pull together the kind of amazing balls Texas used to have back in my early twenties. Especially in Dallas and Houston. It's a massive undertaking, but I'm really pleased with it and the kind of work people are putting into it and the things they want for it.
You might get more covert updates about this in the coming year, too, as we usually meet once a month.
