The Shread, Day 8 of 30

Jan 24, 2013 21:54

My entire thought process toward the following can be summed up, thusly: SIGH.

Day 8 Notes
Level: One

- I hedged for hours on whether to do this, and pushed myself into on sheer promise and dedication.
- My ankles laughed an amused rejecting laugh of sharp pain by the time of the second jumping jack in warm-up. So I transitioned to cardio punches.
- I found out it's only marginally painful to do the cardio movements where I land on the balls of my feet, unlike the massive crippling pain that involves landing with my heels. So butt kicks and jump rope were still in.

- Success: I made it through the entire first push-up work out without stopping!

- Down side: Walking around since finishing, both of my ankles are sore and tender and crappy together. The right one is all about seizing the first inch or two down into my food while walking, left one is a muscle running between my heel and ankle that smarts with every step.

This is worse than yesterday and I'm beginning to court an honest problem if it's affecting my walking still three and half hours since working out for twenty minutes. So. I'm very unhappily eying the fact I may have to either consider skipping a day, or running the dvd and just skipping all exercises that involve jumping/running of any kind.

Which, yeah, I know the latter of which is me trying to hold on tenaciously and not give in to pausing.

Sigh. Stupid terrible joints. I'll get back to you on whether acute pain or chronic stubbornness wins.
