Day 1
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fan works that you have created. It can be your favorite fan works that you've created, or fan works you feel no one ever saw, or fan works you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Remember that we're using the term fan work in the broadest sense of the word here - things like episode guides, meta, canon timelines, thematic lists, recs, fandom overviews, pic spams, discussion posts, etc totally count.
I. Present Favorite Fanfic: 12 Days of Jersey
(Hawaii Five-0; Steve, Danny & Jersey)My current winter explosion of cuteness, built as the cross-road of so many things. It was (/is, until Jan 5th) being written with my fabulous co-author, Laura. It was originally sold to her as a brilliant idea of what to get together and write as the Big Massive Amazing End All gift to our Tumblr Secret Santa's for this year (before hers was not a McDanno fan, sadly), putting up two prompts of cuteness a day through all of the twelve days of Christmas.
II. Favorite Meta's & Related Things from my time in Twilight- Epic 9,500 word Meta on Edward's Opinions/Interactions with his Family Members
- My Never-Going-To-Stop-Beating-a-Dead-Horse SM Rant about Ages/Breaking Your Own World Rules
- Writing a Historical Canon Background from 1719 forward (In Gaming & Fic's) with an amazing crew at my side
- The only semi-coherent Carlisle &/ Edward meta-thing I managed not to just flail through
III. Meta Reflection on SupernaturalSpecially, Jo Harvelle & How She's Different From Every Hunter We've Seen Before She's Introduced
IV. My Fandom in the eye of a needleThe Sundering Duology by Jacqueline Carey (of the much renown Kushiel's Nine-Book Series)
I've never met anyone in my life who's read these books (Godslayer and Banewrecker), nor do I actually know anyone who's read since the time I fell in love with them. This is my smallest fandom on A03, at the fact since 2007 there's only been three fics for it written, and it was only two until I got assigned it for Yuletide this year. I'm pimping them, because I will never stop thinking The Lady's Tears is my favorite fic I ever wrote, and being so proud of the work I get to do in it.
