Valentine's Day joy

Good morning, all my beautiful loves.

Today is Valentine's Day and that has me smiling so hard already. I love Valentine's Day. Love, love, love. It is potentially my third favorite holiday of the whole year. Regardless of all the ups and downs this world throws at this day. I am wake, sitting on my bed, with my fluffy, curly hair, from washing it right before bed, having just finished opening my cards and package.

While this day can be about romance for me, and has in the last decade and half of my life, it doesn't have to. (See: prime example of my heart right now.) It's also that Valentine's Day has been celebrated in my life by my family since I was tiny. Valentines and candy boxes of some assortment on the breakfast table when you came down that morning. Which has never left me.

Having an extra day in the world to celebrate how much I love the people that I tell every week, and every trip, that I love them? Again? With special extra cards and gifts and candies and giddiness? Yeah. I've been sold, my entire life.

I mailed somewhere upward of twenty-five cards this year, to all of my family members, whom I try to remember to do always, to close friends, and people who've made my heart sing in the last six to twelve months. I sent two small gifts. I sent three pieces internationally. I filled out endless Galentines comments for Flist/Milliways people. Yesterday I left a boxed chocolate rose, with tiny children's knock-knock joke valentines taped on them, on the desk of all ten people in my team at work.

And I am not even done yet. I hope that each and every one of you is aware of the wealth of love surrounding you and your life today. All my love from the very deepest and brightest and truest of my heart, for each of reading this makes my life a beautiful, magical, healing place to be and i adore you immensely.

family, mail, love, friends
