....is yet to come, my love.
Is one of Marian's very last lines in the BBC Robin Hood, and as such it has become the name of a plot that i may end up talking about for the next twelve months. I'm still pretty sure the only word to describe my feeling about The Sudden Marian Explosion and Take Over is 'agog.' After three years of quietly sitting in the far back seat of the bus napping, but never leaving, she's all but sitting on the gear shift.
Suddenly. Amazingly. And really I have a confluence of both the Milliways DW move and several returns to thank for it. That exploded into a plot I said five years ago could never ever happen. Even with the magic of Milliways. And here I am five years later making. The perfect answer to the impossible riddle, the very literal at present on a note sheet that looks like it may take me all the rest of 2012 (she bemusedly noted, on the last weekend of the first month, which she sat in).
I would be worried, but I've done some incredibly long game things with Edward, and they turned out, so long as I followed the plan. The first part of the plan, was to archive all of Marian's memories. Which involved reading all of her Milli-Canon. In the last week, I've rewatched all of Marian's canon (yes, even That Episode, and That Season). I've talked and laughed and flailed at my main three conspirators will all the grace and love in me. Because there is so much coming.
There is a hazy plan, which two graphs, and two massive lists of the pertaining different places of play or informational update, and there conversations about the plan. All of which by the day becomes more finite, and more elaborate as people toss into them. Adding characters, brilliant ideas, character needs, and deals to broker in, both ways. And there are at least five, almost completely diseperate, people solidly invested in being part of The Greatest Adventure.
I'm about to break all the rules. To rip up every single floor board.
And the most glorious part of it?
I have absolutely no idea where the end goes after the key last turning point that the whole of The Greatest Adventure leads up to. It ends, or begins, however you personally would choose to look at that moment specifically, in "Here there Be Dragons" and "She Rides Off Into The Sunset." It will all depend on how the whole thing falls out, rolls out, the random miracles and pitfalls that happen along the way.
And I am so excited there is no parallel right enough to use to display it. It consumes my hours and my tv and my talking and thinking, in the shower and on the way to mailbox. How and when and what and which and who. And I'm so giddy. I'm about to write the yearlong treatise that is Marian's Endgame, and it is going to be so bright I'm gonna need shades.
