Gratitude is the memory of the heart.
~Jean Baptiste Massieu, translated from French
Day VI - My Computer
I'm not far enough away yet from that whole month and half away from my computer, that I'm not still a little giddy every time I get to pick up my laptop.
It's a tiny silver and blue thing, that's super light, and is the conduit to most of the things I do at home that aren't reading books, eating, doing spiritual work or spending time with Earl. It's where the whole of my music collection for over a decade and half rests in its most update to date shape. It has all my tv, movie, and documentary watching, tons for books and comic reading.
Even better it has all those people all across the globe who've come to affect so much of my world, my life, and my heart, and the place where I open the gorgeousness of the blank white page, to write journals and poetry and stories. It's the place where I get to build and write with so many of the people I know.
It's the holder of the internet. Of endless, interchanging fandoms. Computer games that amuse me whole bunches. Of all the papers from all my school times. It has the calendar of plans that truly keeps my head and life together. And my endless little art icon collection, that might never stop growing.
